Flooring is important because it sets the tone for the entire space. It can affect the room’s aesthetic, comfort, and acoustics. We at Bubblegum flooring are experienced, enthusiastic installers who are ready to help transform your space, whether residential or commercial. Not only do we install flooring, we do repairs too.
Additional services include careful removal of furniture before beginning the flooring project, then putting them back where they were. We remove previous flooring, clean and prep the surface before installing new flooring, and clean up and remove debris when the project is completed.
We offer a wide variety of flooring: carpet, vinyl, and tile. Let’s take a look at some examples of our installs:
Carpet Installs:
Carpeting can transform a room by adding warmth and comfort. It makes a space feel cozier and can help with noise reduction, making it a great choice for bedrooms, living areas, and private offices. Carpeting also provides a soft surface underfoot, which can be especially nice in colder climates, like Wisconsin.
There are so many styles, textures, and colors to choose from, allowing you to personalize the look of your room to match your decor and personal taste. We offer a variety of carpet for both residential and commercial spaces.
This project features a carpet transformation on stairs, using our Caravelle Swiss Mocha carpet. A foam underlayment is placed to provide comfort, noise reduction, and support.
This customer wanted carpet installation in a downstairs play area. Our installers took measurements, ordered the correct amount of carpet. The carpet was able to be installed on top of the previous flooring with padding used for comfort and insulation. The carpet was seamed using a thermoplastic tape that requires an adhesive to be melted to keep the seams together tightly.
For a carpet stretch, the carpet has to be removed from tack strips by grabbing the corners of the carpet, detaching it from the sharp corners and pulling along the length of the wall until all is detached. The power stretcher is then used to remove wrinkles. Excess carpet is trimmed before reinstalling the carpet back to its place.
Vinyl Installs:
Luxury Vinyl Plank (LVP) is a high quality, durable flooring option that can mimic the look of hardwood and stone with realistic colors and textures. It is water resistant, easy to maintain, making it a suitable choice for any location. LVP is softer underfoot compared to traditional hardwood, which can add comfort to high traffic areas.
For this project, layers and layers of old tile were torn from this residential bathroom and disposed of. Our installers removed and put back the toilet and vanity. A new subfloor was installed as well under the new LVP along with new transition strips.
For this project we replaced old carpeting and tile with Magnolia Foxwood LVP. The process included installing Underlayment Patch and Skimcoat, a Portland cement-based floor path that is applied over most surfaces for a smooth finish before installation of flooring. Planks were then measured and cut to fit into nooks and crannies of the room. We use universal flooring adhesive that is specifically designed for LVP, creating a tremendous bond.
This customer wanted a wood looking LVP flooring selection for the bathroom. Underneath the LVP is Underlayment Patch and Skimcoat, a Portland cement-based floor path that is applied over most surfaces for a smooth finish before installation of flooring. New subflooring needed to be installed, and our installers rehung plumbing to assure that it was safe and firm.
Tile Installs:
Tiles provide a clean, modern look to any space. They come in a variety of materials, colors, and patterns, allowing for a high degree of customization to fit any design aesthetic. They are also highly durable and easy to clean, making them a practical choice for areas with high traffic or moisture, like kitchens and bathrooms.
For this project, old linoleum was torn out of the bathroom after careful removal of the toilet. Durock, a durable cement board that has high moisture resistance was installed over the subfloor. A simple 6×6 ceramic tile from Menards was installed with a grout sealer to project the tile and add slip resistance.
For this project, layers of old tiles were carefully broken and chiseled away. The surface was cleaned and prepped before installing a Pianetto 24”x48” Porcelain Tile. The tile is layered with a Penetrating Sealer to protect it from water, oil, weather, and stains with advanced slip protection.
An important step in laying tile is placing lippage caps, seen in the after photo. They ensure an even, level surface when installing tile by minimizing height differences between adjacent tiles. They have to sit for 24-72 hours while the adhesive dries. The desired tile here was a 24”x48” sandstone ceramic tile.
